ABOUT THE BOOK

Attack! Attack! Attack! The founding principle of rugby, the core component, is to pick up the ball and run with it – to attack.

In recent times, defence has overridden this key component. The aim of this book is to reverse that trend and impart ways to beat defensive mindsets – in other words, to attack and cause chaos in the systems of teams set on preventing tries rather than scoring them.

Information about rugby is abundantly available on various platforms, from live television to YouTube, social media and podcasts. Game analysis systems are available to edit matches and collate any aspects of play in detail – but because of this overwhelming amount of data, coaches have become mesmerised by statistics and numbers, and have forgotten how to play attractive attacking rugby.

This book, by Alan Zondagh and his son AB Zondagh, is the culmination of decades of coaching experience, from grassroots to the highest level, in South Africa, the UK and France.

A benchmark publication for the modern rugby era, Attack Attack Attack is a comprehensive and indispensable guide for all rugby coaches, players and fans, which will:
- Enable coaches to progressively improve team attack;
- Enable players to develop an attacking mindset;

- Simplify the attacking game for the rugby enthusiasts and supporters.
